The Shain Gallery Up & Coming Invitational is an annual curated exhibition in Charlotte, North Carolina, showcasing emerging early- to mid-career artists from Texas and the East Coast. The 8th Annual Invitational (2026) features 37 artists selected from more than 750 submissions. Known for its highly competitive selection process, the exhibition highlights fresh, original voices in contemporary painting and mixed media while giving collectors an opportunity to discover rising talent. The show has become a well-attended fixture in Charlotte’s art scene, recognized for its diverse work and well-attended opening reception.
